It’s time our name and brand reflect the full scope of who we are, what we do and where we’re headed - so we’re excited to announce that we will be one family in 2019 as we fold Craftsy into our Bluprint experience. We have loved our growth as Craftsy and will always embrace our history. We are excited to come together as one cohesive site and start fresh in the New Year!
As of Tuesday January 8, 2019, Craftsy.com is now Bluprint. As you may recall, Craftsy launched a subscription service last year, Craftsy Unlimited, which was renamed Bluprint in July 2018. We are excited to now bring everything together under one roof and one brand.
Craftsy.com has been officially retired as of January 8th, 2019, and you will find all of the same content on shop.mybluprint.com. Aside from a new coat of paint, you'll see everything is exactly the same, including your class/pattern libraries and account settings.
We know you have some questions, and if you have more after reading the FAQs below, please contact our support team and we'll be happy to chat with you!
Q: Why did you make this change?
A: Read a letter from our CEO John Levisay here for our story.
Q: Where will I access the classes and/or patterns I already own?
A: The classes and patterns you've purchased are yours forever, and you will always have access to them! You'll find your Class Library and Pattern Library in the same location - just click on your profile picture or avatar in the top right corner, and you'll see your Libraries in the drop down menu.
Q: Can I still purchase individual classes to own forever on Bluprint?
A: Absolutely! The ability to purchase a class to access through your Class Library is not going away. You'll find this option on the Bluprint Shop.
Q: Will I have to sign up for a Bluprint subscription?
A: Our members will never be required to sign up for a Bluprint subscription - you can continue to purchase individual classes as you'd like! You will be logging into Bluprint to access your classes, but you are not subscribed on a monthly or annual basis to the Bluprint subscription service unless you go through that specific sign-up process and select your plan. Any existing Craftsy member is automatically able to access the Bluprint Shop using your existing login credentials., and you will also have access to browse Bluprint without purchasing a subscription.
Q: How do I access Bluprint to watch my classes after January 8th?
A: You will go to shop.mybluprint.com and log in with your normal Craftsy email and password - everything is the same and you are not required to re-join if you're already a Craftsy member. If you don't remember your password, hit the Forgot Password button and we'll send you a reset link to create a new password.
Don't worry - if you accidentally go to Craftsy.com, we'll get you redirected to the right place!
Q: Will there still be a pattern marketplace on the Bluprint Shop?
A: You bet! In December 2018, we took our first steps in revamping our open marketplace for independent designers, and we reduced the size drastically from over 200,000 patterns to about 15,000 while we explore how we can improve this experience. We are still proud to offer a large selection of patterns from indie designers, and we look forward to making the marketplace an even better place for designers and customers alike later in 2019.
Any patterns you have purchased will remain in your Pattern Library for you to access.
Q: Can I still buy supplies and kits?
A: Absolutely - we will still carry all the great supplies, tools, notions, and kits in the Bluprint shop plus we're adding new things all the time!
Q: What about the mobile app?
A: The Craftsy mobile app will continue to exist in its current form until late February. We encourage app users to download the new Bluprint app in the meantime, before the Craftsy app ceases to work. You will see some messages reminding you to download the Bluprint app over the next couple of months.
There will also be some updates to the app functionality on Bluprint. The app is designed to view your classes and series, while any purchases of classes, patterns or supplies/kits will be available through the full website at shop.mybluprint.com
Q: Where do I go for help from Customer Support or to read help articles?
A: Starting January 4th, no matter if you're a Bluprint subscriber or if you purchase individual classes from the Bluprint Shop, you will find all of the information you need, as well as the option to email or chat with our support team, on help.mybluprint.com. You'll also find a link to our help center in the footer from any page on the site.
