The weather’s already getting chilly, so you’re basically a genius if you chose the Loose Ends Scarf as your Premium membership project this season. After all, you get to bundle up with it oh-so-soon!
To support your journey through making this chic scarf, instructor Vanessa Vargas Wilson shared a few seriously smart tips.
- Make a stitch holder. It’ll be super helpful when it’s time to join the center triangles, as it helps prevent dropped stitches. The trick? Leave a long tail so your stitches stay in place, and move the tapestry needle right underneath the cable of your knitting needles.
- Keep your pattern close. The stitches can get a bit complicated as you work, which is why Vanessa’s a big fan of placing sticky notes underneath the row you’re working. “That’s going to help keep your eye exactly where it should be, and it’s going to [help you] avoid making mistakes because you’re accidentally glancing at some of the other rows.”
